This week the celebrated researcher, humanitarian, and writer, Tina Turbin (http://TinaTurbin.com) was selected to be featured as its next Moxy Woman by the renowned organization, WCTB, Woman Taking Care of Business (http://WomenTCB.com). This organization consists of strong, inspiring professional women seeking to make a difference by honoring, inspiring, and supporting women around the world.

Tina has been actively involved from a young age in women's issues and supporting women in society with her prolific writing and humanitarian and research efforts. A wife and mother since the age of twenty-one, she strives to support and empower women and mothers of all backgrounds. It is no wonder that an organization such as WTCB has chosen Tina Turbin to be honored as a Moxy Woman.

Much-admired for her work in a variety of fields, Tina is perhaps most well-known for her work as an author of children's books and the highly-acclaimed children's series, Danny the Dragon (http://DannyTheDragon.com). The story of Danny the Dragon and his little traveling companion, Skipper, who come across a new home and meet a new family in the most unusual way, has delighted the young and the young at heart.

Says Tina, "This series fulfills a passion of mine to delight children and their families with some magic, the spirit of fun and imagination, which I feel really should be preserved in every child at all stages. I truly believe there is no reason the 'flame of life' should burn out just because we grow older and have to take on more responsibilities."

Tina Turbin is currently working on the treatments for future Danny the Dragon books as well as the sought-after Danny's cookbook, which will teach children to prepare nutritional meals through Danny's guidance and with a lot of fun.

In addition to her work as a children's author, Tina is a dedicated researcher and is widely acknowledged for her work in raising awareness for celiac disease (http://GlutenFreeHelp.info). She became very interested in the subjects of gluten-free, gluten-sensitive and celiac disease a number of years ago. She experienced numerous years of "going around in circles" with tests and doctors yet finding no diagnosis for the symptoms she was experiencing. Finally, she took matters into her own hands and began researching her symptoms herself.

Upon further research it became clear there was a link between gluten and celiac disease, and it was even clearer that the subject was not broadly understood and very much under-funded. According to health officials, about one out of every hundred Americans suffers from celiac disease.

In addition to doing research in this area, Tina also works to bring awareness to the issue by raising money to support research and even in developing gluten-free recipes. As a mother, she is driven by a need to make sure people are properly informed so they can recognize the signs of the various adverse affects of gluten.

Tina is also slated to be a featured "Extraordinary Woman" in an upcoming issue of Tampa Bay Parenting magazine. WTCB has surely found in Tina Turbin, its newest Moxy Woman, the fulfillment of its vision for inspiring and celebrating women.
