| Many guys have a usual image that herpes is a condition specifically acquired through intimate contact. But that isn't entirely valid. Usual direct skin contact can also cause herpes virus transmission. Few people also believe that the herpes disease may be passed on through personal use objects as toilet seats, etc. This fact should be rather unlikely due to the fragility of the condition itself.
The herpes condition passes through tiny spaces in the skin or mucous membranes of the mouth and genital areas. Healthy skin acts as really good protective stoppers against this condition. In cases of mucous membranes, even the slightest scrape is sufficient to affect the nerve extremities into which the herpes bacteria entwines itself. This is the principal motive why herpes condition usually manifests in areas where mucous membranes and usual skin joins. A good example is the corner of your mouth. The condition has been said to be passed on by exchanging razors with an ill individual. Unlike toilet seats, the bacteria can live in the wet areas between the blades. This disease can also be passed from mother to child during birth. However, most cases reveal that infants acquire the said condition after birth. HSV may be categorized into oral and genital herpes. Oral herpes is provoked by the Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 (HSV-1). It is commonly considered as cold "sore" or “fever blisters”. Fever blisters often arise as small, clear, fluid-filled blisters on the face, commonly on the lips. Genital herpes, on the other hand, is generated by HSV-2 and is characterized by painful, itchy sores in the genital area. Persons contaminated with this bacteria usually do not realize they own it because it manifests no signals. Its disturbs can be too simple and can go unnoticed. Most confirmed cases noted that the first crisis was the worst. Few persons never get the outbreak again, and some suffer again after a very extended period. When somebody has herpes, be it on the mouth or the genital region, you will notice the existence of small, red bumps, blisters, or open sores in the affected area. These bumps will be aggressivelly itchy and/or painful to the touch. These bumps will break and turn into ulcerations that will eventually develop scabs and heal on their own. There is no true cure for herpes, only preventive actions for future attacks. Antiviral medications as acyclovir and other similar medicine help lessen the symptoms and rate of cold sore reappearances. Proper care for bumps before and after eruption can help lessen the discomfort one can feel during attack times. A parody song of Britney Spears “Gimme More” discusses about the topic of herpes. The lines go like this: “Every time you pull your pants down. You will know what I did that night with you. You've got blisters round that place now, it'll start itching very soon.” It may seem funny hearing about it in a song, but it reveals a really good idea about having careless, casual adventures with strangers. Next time you consider having an affair with a person you just met, think better if you're ready for any complications it may bring. |
